UGA Teacher Murderer
Last week a UGA professor is accused of killing his wife and two other men and has fled Athens and Georgia (presummably) and is still on the run today. Since I have friends that go to UGA and live in Athens I was concerned. Was this another Virginia Tech incident? Columbine was earlier that week on Monday (1oth anniversary). However, this was a professor, which is another leap in school violence. We hear about troubled students, but usually faculty are accused of sexual misconduct or something similar. He did not attack the school, thank goodness, and UGA sent of a threat text and email as well as phone call to students, which prevented an attack had he tried. Preventative steps weer taken which were discussed in the presentations about Columbine and other school incidents. Although no student was injured, UGA still took precautions. As for the professor himself, the red jeep he is apparently driving has not been found, yet mentions of him using his passport to go overseas are running rampant on television stations.
